The oldest and most prestigious grand slam tournament, Wimbledon, returns for its 138th edition on June 30.

Carlos Alcaraz, who recently defended his French Open crown, is chasing a three-peat at Wimbledon. The Spaniard got the better of Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon finals the last two years and once again starts as the favorite at the grass-court major.

In the women’s field, Barbora Krejcikova is on shaky ground as she begins her title defence. The Czech has been struggling for form and with injuries since her surprise title run last year.

World No 1 Aryna Sabalenka, who finished runner-up at the first two majors this season, is hoping to come good on grass. The women’s draw will be relatively open with French Open champion Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina all hoping to make a mark.
