Some of us fans have attended so many Denver Broncos games that it might be hard to choose, but I’ve been non-local since I was kid and all of my in-person games have been when they play on the road. There are probably more “worst game ever” opportunities when you are a visiting fan in a hostile territory. For me, that was on Monday Night Football on opening weekend in 2008. More on that experience later in the story…

J.K. Dobbins is feeling good about this roster. After re-signing on a two-year, $20 million deal at the start of free agency, the Broncos running back called Denver an “embarrassment of riches” — a sentiment that only grew louder after the Jaylen Waddle trade. Dobbins also made it clear he’s carrying a chip into 2026, saying publicly that he believes he could have played in the AFC Championship Game last season. Between Waddle, Courtland Sutton, Pat Bryant, a stacked offensive line, and a deep backfield, Dobbins sees a team built to compete for a title.

Our own Joe Mahoney dropped some bombs today around the Broncos offensive output in a few key areas. There is much they must improve upon next season.
In all fairness, though, a huge chunk of those came in just three really bad offensive games.
The FEED happenings
GratefulBronco with a hypothetical in the Feed today. Should the Broncos just keep trading picks to get players they need? I would be shocked if a guy like Sam LaPorta is actually on the block. Wouldn’t be against it… other than the fact they’d have no picks left. I also disagreed with the logic explained by the SI writer. If the Lions’ would be hesitant to pay LaPorta, why would they trade for Mims who also needs to be paid?

What was the worst Denver Broncos game I ever attended?
The ironic part of this story is that the worst game I ever attended was a huge blowout win for the Broncos. The reason being is because I chose to drive to Oakland to watch it… not the best decision.
It was opening week in 2008 and I snagged good tickets on Monday Night Football for me and my brother. With him being a Raiders fan and me being a Broncos fan, it seemed like a good fun opportunity for both of us. And it was before the game.
We got there early and hit the tailgate circuit. Everyone was jovial and cool. Poked fun at me for being a filthy Bronco fan, etc. I entered the stadium to thousands chanting “Broncos Suck! Broncos Suck!” and while I disagreed, the aura was definitely with the home team.

However, by halftime it was 17-0 Denver and I was three beers in and had to use the restroom. We decided to wait for the third quarter since things are always busier at halftime, but then it was 24-0. My brother comes back and says, “So bro, don’t go to the bathroom.” I was like, I got to go bad though. Apparently, some drunk Raider fans had clogged some urinals and were looking for Broncos fans to “drown” in them. So yeah, I found the will power necessary to stay in the safety of my own seat. In hindsight, I should have borrowed my brothers Darren McFadden jersey. LOL!
Anyway, 41-14 was the final. It was nearing midnight and we had a 90 minute drive back to Sacramento to make. It was like World War 3 out there in the parking lot. Fans were letting off fireworks and fights were breaking out all over the place. Police were everywhere… and nowhere, yet, I saw a lone port-a-potty right on the edge of the parking lot. I won’t discuss what I saw in there, but suffice to say I made it out alive (with trauma) and haven’t been back to Oakland since. The moral of that story is don’t drink beer as a visiting Broncos’ fan in Oakland, California.
We got back to my car and slowly made our way out of the chaos of the Coliseum to the safety of Oakland proper and then onto the freeway. I must say, Oakland Coliseum was not a great football experience as a visiting fan, but maybe Raiders fans liked it? Frankly, I do not blame the Raiders for fleeing to Las Vegas. I would actually go to another Broncos-Raiders game in Vegas, because so few actual Raider fans attend games there now.
