The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series opens the weekend of racing in south Florida with Friday’s Baptist Health 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

The race weekend is on as scheduled despite a nearby brush fire, according to the city of Homestead on Thursday. Smoke was visible at the track on Thursday, and a health advisory has been issued for the area.

Last week, Corey Heim dominated the final stage to win at Las Vegas, his second win of the season.

Kyle Larson and Ross Chastain are on this weekend’s entry list, with both making rare starts in the series.
