Peterhead clinched the title and automatic promotion after Peter Pawlett’s goal gave them victory over closest rivals East Fife last weekend.

The Fifers will be in the play-offs, where they will play whoever finishes third between Edinburgh City or Elgin City.

East Fife could have a big say in who they will face as they host Elgin, who are a point behind Edinburgh, in Saturday’s final round of fixtures, with the capital side facing a city derby away to Spartans.

Bonnyrigg Rose gave themselves hope of avoiding bottom spot and going into the relegation play-off – despite having been deducted six points after issues with their pitch – after beating Spartans while Forfar Athletic drew.

Going into the last round of matches, the Angus side, at home to Stirling Albion, are two points clear, with the Rose travelling to Stranraer.
