John Daly disappeared into the desert over the weekend—no, really, watch for yourself.
You never know what you’re going to see once you sit at your desk Monday morning after a nice weekend away, but even this surprised me—we almost lost John Daly to the desert.

Daly was in Tucson this past week for the PGA TOUR Champions’ Cologuard Classic at La Paloma Country Club, and decided to play a shot from the desert. I think it’s safe to say it didn’t go to plan.

It’s hard to tell where the ball went, but after he made contact, Daly lost balance and slid down a hill into the desert. His buddy and a volunteer went down after him, and judging by this video being posted to his social, Daly must be just fine.
In his first PGA TOUR Champions start of the season, Daly shot rounds of 70-69-68 at the Cologuard to finish in a tie for 29th.
