Top-flight German football is being shown live on the BBC this season after rights were secured to broadcast Friday night Bundesliga matches through to 2027.
The coverage will continue on Friday, 13 March when Borussia Mönchengladbach take on St. Pauli in this week’s Bundesliga fixture as both sides try to avoid relegation.

Matches will be available to watch live on the BBC Sport website, app and on BBC iPlayer every Friday, with clips of the biggest in-game moments across BBC Sport’s social media channels.

Borussia Mönchengladbach are struggling to replicate their early season form. The Foals went on a five-match unbeaten run just before the winter break, where they boasted the joint best form in those five matches alongside league leaders Bayern Munich, winning four and drawing one of those matches.
However, since the winter break, Gladbach have won only two of their 10 matches and picked up nine points in that time. Despite being sat 12th in the league, only one point separates them and their opponents this week who are in the relegation play-off position. A win on Friday night in Gladbach would put some breathing room between them and the drop.

St. Pauli are in much better form than their opponent’s this week, with three wins in their last five, including wins over two of the top four, Stuttgart and Hoffenheim. They also got a point last time out as they held Eintracht Frankfurt to a 0-0 draw.
With 10 points in their last five matches, St. Pauli have managed to close the gap on those above them and move out of the relegation zone into the play-off for relegation place. Despite this, the Hamburg side will need to improve on their away performances, having only got eight of their 24 points on the road all season.
This match has been played out 27 times across all competitions, with Gladbach winning 14 of these matches and St. Pauli only winning five of them. Both sides have already beaten each other this season, with Gladbach winning 4-0 in Hamburg, whereas St. Pauli knocked The Foals out of the DFB-Pokal in a 2-1 away win.
