Daniel Suarez will not repeat his win in the NASCAR Atlanta race.

Suarez was the main car in a multi-car accident on lap 184 of the scheduled 260 in Sunday’s Ambetter Health 400 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Suarez was running in 20th position when he had to slow down slightly due to Riley Herbst and Bubba Wallace checking up in turn 4. Coming out of the corner and onto the quad-oval frontstretch, Suarez was forced back next to Ty Gibbs, who bumped Zane Smith and forced Gibbs back into Suarez.

After the collision with Gibbs, Suarez spun out and slid through the frontstretch and collected four other cars, including Cole Custer, Noah Gragson, JJ Yeley and Cody Ware.

Gibbs was able to continue after the No. 54 Joe Gibbs Racing team was able to fix one of the tow links in the car.

Daniel Suarez 2024 Atlanta win

Daniel Suarez won last year’s Ambetter Health 400, beating out Kyle Busch and Ryan Blaney with a three-wide photo finish to earn the win by seven one-thousandths of a second.
