Superstar slugger Vladimir Guerreror Jr. has a specific plan in mind if the Toronto Blue Jays win the World Series this season—he wants to give the championship ring to his father, Hall of Famer Vladimir Guerrero, as he told Fox Sports ahead before Sunday’s Game 1 of the ALCS.

The senior Guerrero, 50, was a one-time MVP and nine-time All-Star in his career, famous for a violent swing that routinely hit smashed balls well out of the strike zone, along with a cannon for an arm in right field.

In his 16-year career, however, he only played on teams that made the postseason six times and only played in one World Series, losing with the Texas Rangers in five games against the San Francisco Giants.

His son might just swing the Blue Jays to a title this year, however, after torturing the New York Yankees during the ALDS (9-for-17 with three homers, nine RBI, five runs and an absurd 1.609 OPS). If Junior stays that hot, Vlad Sr. is going to have himself a World Series ring.
