Cincinnati Reds star shortstop Elly De La Cruz announced Monday that he’ll be the cover athlete for San Diego Studio’s MLB The Show 25.
De La Cruz, 23, has emerged as one of the most exciting players in the sport, hitting .259 in the 2024 season with 25 homers, 76 RBI, 105 runs, an MLB-leading 67 stolen bases and a .809 OPS.
He’s also a wizard defensively, to the point that he had even Snoop Dogg shook:
The 2024 season was just De La Cruz’s second in MLB, but was good enough to earn his first All-Star Game appearance. It will surely be one of many, and his spot on the cover of MLB The Show 25 is yet another indication of his rising stardom.
