Lonzo and LiAngelo Ball divulged Wednesday that they would be open to mixing it up with another pair of famous brothers in a WWE wrestling match.
During an appearance on the Unapologetically Angel podcast with WNBA star Angel Reese (beginning at the 49:50 mark of the video), Lonzo and LiAngelo responded positively to the idea of a match against Jake and Logan Paul:
After LiAngelo expressed his belief that he could beat Jake Paul in a boxing match with some training, Reese mentioned a WWE clash with Jake and Logan. Lonzo said, “I would do that,” and LiAngelo said it would be “tight.”
Reese followed up by dubbing the hypothetical match “Ball vs. Paul” before saying it would be “lit.”
Lonzo, who was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft and currently plays for the Chicago Bulls, noted that he and his other brother, Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball, appeared on an episode of WWE Raw with their father LaVar Ball back in 2017.
The oldest of the Ball brothers said that while he didn’t “seize the moment” like he should have back then, he would have a better idea of what to do this time around after experiencing firsthand how the professional wrestling business works.
While Lonzo and LiAngelo have no additional wrestling experience, Logan Paul is an officially contracted WWE Superstar, while Jake Paul is a rising star in combat sports.
Jake became a professional boxer in 2020 and has since compiled an 11-1 record, including a unanimous-decision victory over 58-year-old former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson two weeks ago.
Given the mainstream attention Jake Paul has achieved as a boxer, WrestleVotes recently reported that WWE has “notable interest” in Jake making an appearance at one of its premium live events in 2025.
During a recent appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Jake said he would have interest in doing something with WWE, but more so as Logan’s manager than being a wrestler.
However, if WWE feels there would be enough interest and profit in a Ball brothers vs. Paul brothers tag team match, the company wouldn’t shy away from trying to make it happen given its long history of utilizing celebrities in matches at WrestleMania.
