It’s one of the greatest spectacles in the sport of tennis: the US Open. And, coming off a record-breaking 2024 event, this year’s Grand Slam should once again be the talk of New York City during the two-week tournament.

The US Open has become one of the “it” events of the sports calendar. Tennis fans — including celebrities of all ages — pack the Billie Jean King Tennis Center at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, Queens each year. Everyone wants to see something great happen on the famed hardcourts. Heck, even Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were in attendance at last year’s final.

Usually, the best in the world are the ones prevailing at the US Open. Last year was no different, with Jannik Sinner winning the men’s singles title and Aryna Sabalenka prevailing on the women’s side. Both sat atop the ATP world rankings as of late May 2025.

Arthur Ashe Stadium has witnessed plenty of history, too. American fan-favorite Coco Gauff won the event in 2023, her first major singles title. Just 19 years at the time, she became the first teenager to win the US Open since 1999.

Novak Djokovic enjoyed a strong 2023 in Flushing, too. The superstar won his fourth US Open title, dominating the field and losing just two sets the entire tournament. Djoker’s feat was bascially the opposite of Gauff’s, as he became the oldest men’s singles champion in tournament history at 36 years old.

The 2025 US Open is always worth the price of admission, and it’s an event that you’ll never forget if you’re able to make it. The tournament doesn’t begin until late August, but it’s never too late to secure tickets to one of the most prestigious sporting events in the country. Here’s how to do that.
