Each year, the US Open is one of the biggest events on the tennis calendar. The 2025 tournament is no different.

This year, it’s a historically large prize, as the USTA is offering the largest purse in tennis history, with the overall figure up 20 percent from the 2024 event. On a similar note, the payout for men’s and women’s singles champions is the largest winning payout in the sport.

The total prize money that will be distributed at this year’s US Open is a record $90 million. That figure includes hotel, per diem, and US Open Wheelchair Championships prize money.

US Open prize money, winnings for 2025
The payout increases as competitors make their way through the tournament, with payouts reaching $400,000 once players reach the Round of 16.
Winners of the men’s and women’s singles tournaments will earn $5,000,000, with runners-up earning half that figure. Here is a breakdown for payouts in the men’s and women’s main draw.
