Rian O’Neill has arrived with the Armagh squad as the All-Ireland champions prepare for Saturday evening’s Ulster Football Final against holders Donegal.
2024 All-Star O’Neill has not featured for the Orchard County this year and manager Kieran McGeeney said in mid March that he didn’t expect the Crossmaglen man to play inter-county football in 2025.
However, a togged-out O’Neill was with the Armagh players when they walked on the Clones pitch during the half-time interval of the Ulster Ladies Final between Armagh and Donegal.
O’Neill was not named in the Armagh squad when it was announced on Thursday but there will be speculation now that he could play a part in the contest.
Any possible changes to the Armagh squad are likely to be announced around 30 minutes before the 17:25 BST throw-in.
The forward has been playing for his club this season.
