Alex Pereira’s willingness to fight on short notice has made him the model of a company fighter for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
The Brazilian kickboxer-turned-MMA star saved the main events of UFC 300 and UFC 303 without a full camp, adding to his excellent highlight reel in the process.
I think we can all agree now that Alex Pereira was going to KO Hill eventually regardless of the weird circumstance

However, it appears that the former light-heavyweight champion is now dissatisfied with his latest communications with the promotion.
Pereira took to Twitter this morning to hint he may even be willing to step away from fighting entirely.
“I’ve never spoken poorly of the UFC but with what I’ve just heard I’m disheartened. I’ve already had thoughts of not fighting anymore, and after what was just relayed to me this may be the start.”
‘Poatan’ lost his championship belt to Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313 in March.
After several defenses and with his record of helping the company out, Alex had called for an immediate rematch.
Pereira did not give specifics on what “disheartened” him, but denying him his chance at vengeance certainly could fit the bill.
At 37 years old and with money in the bank from years as a popular champion, ‘Poatan’ should feel comfortable walking off into the sunset as a likely future Hall of Famer.
However, fans of his may be disappointed themselves, if Alex Pereira goes out on a loss.
I always answered the UFC’s calls, but if they want to play with me, we can do that. I’ve never spoken poorly of the UFC but with what I’ve just heard I’m disheartened. I’ve already had thoughts of not fighting anymore, and after what was just relayed to me this may be the start.
