Can Max Holloway return to the top of the UFC’s featherweight division? The former champion faces Ilia Topuria for featherweight gold at UFC 308 on October 26. The fight and card airs on ESPN+ in the U.S.

Topuria has won four straight fight bonuses, earning his last one in a knockout win against Alexander Volkanovski to win the UFC featherweight title. The 27-year-old is slowly climbing up the pound-for-pound rankings and looks to become the next phenomenon at featherweight.

In Topuria’s way is the BMF Champion, Max Holloway. A lethal striker, Holloway has won three straight by using his boxing to dismantle the opposition.  “Blessed” looks to hold featherweight gold for the first time since Volkanovski took it from him in 2019.

The co-main event will see former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker taking on Khamzat Chimaev in a five-round fight. The fight was originally for June, but Chimaev withdrew due to illness. Since being affected by COVID-19 in 2020, Chimaev has fought four times since 2021.

Whittaker won the UFC middleweight title in 2017 but lost it against Israel Adesanya in 2019. Since then, he has gone 6-2 in his last eight fights and is on a two-fight win streak. “The Reaper” beat Ikram Aliskerov, Chimaev’s replacement, via first-round knockout.

Meanwhile, Magomed Anakalev is ready to finally secure his status as a light heavyweight contender, while former champion Rafael dos Anjos looks to return to his winning ways.
