After almost a decade of failed fight talks, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will finally lock horns later this year.
The British duo will meet in their heavyweight mega-fight Dec. 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, organizers announced Thursday morning. Netflix will stream the event.

There had been unsuccessful attempts to bring the fight to Madison Square Garden in New York, but Joshua had it written in his contract that the fight had to take place in the UK and he stood firm on that despite a significant amount of resistance from Saudi Arabia’s SELA and Netflix.
In recent weeks, for the first time, the parties involved explored staging the fight in the United Kingdom. Multiple stadium venues were looked at but with the contest taking place during the winter in the UK and Principality Stadium having a roof, it became the clear first choice.
Netflix preferred to stream the event on a Friday rather than the traditional Saturday night for major boxing events. Although the exact time was not immediately confirmed, it is expected the main-event ring walks will be in the early hours of Saturday morning in the UK to accommodate a primetime U.S. audience.

Fury, 38, and Joshua, 36, will come face to face for a launch press conference on Sept. 30 at British Airways Arc in London.
Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) is a former two-time unified heavyweight champion. He has won two fights since a fifth-round KO loss to Daniel Dubois in September 2024 for the IBF heavyweight title. “AJ” stopped Jake Paul in seven rounds in December on Netflix and then came off the floor twice to beat Kristian Prenga in two rounds in July.
Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs), also a former two-time heavyweight champion, has won two fights since back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. The first of their two bouts was for boxing’s undisputed heavyweight title. Fury bounced back by outpointing Arslanbek Makhmudov in April and then stopped Mariusz Wach in seven rounds in July.
