On National Tight End Day, tight ends across the league delivered standout performances, piling up touchdowns and setting a new record across Sunday’s games.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce scored his first touchdown of the season on a five-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes, while Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Evan Engram hauled in an impressive touchdown catch in traffic to tie the game with under two minutes left.

San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle, who founded the day of recognition in 2018, made the 175th reception of the night, according to the NFL’s Dante Koplowitz-Fleming.

By the end of National Tight Ends Day, the league recorded 177 receptions by tight ends—a new single-day record—and 16 touchdowns.

Overall, it was the most productive day in NFL history for tight ends and making this National Tight Ends Day one to remember.
