Tottenham Willing to Meet Bournemouth’s €70M Demand for PSG Transfer Target

PSG have shown strong interest in Bournemouth’s Illya Zabarnyi in recent weeks, but negotiations between the two clubs remain difficult as both sides hold firm in their positions.

According to L’Équipe’s Loïc Tanzi, PSG have opened talks for the 22-year-old defender, who is said to be open to the move, especially with the FIFA Club World Cup on the horizon. However, Bournemouth are sticking to their €70 million valuation.

RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins added that there hasn’t been much movement in talks lately. PSG have made two offers so far, with the latest nearing €60 million, but a deal has yet to be reached.

Amid the standstill between PSG and Bournemouth, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Tottenham are showing strong interest in Zabarnyi and are prepared to meet Bournemouth’s €70 million asking price. However, the defender is currently prioritizing a move to PSG.

Miguel Delaney of The Independent recently reported that Bournemouth are holding firm on their €70 million valuation of Illia Zabarnyi. Paris Saint-Germain have been in talks for weeks, but their highest official bid is thought to be around €60 million.

PSG’s recent FIFA Club World Cup title — and the prize money that came with it — may have actually worked against them in talks, making it harder to push for a discount.

According to The i Paper, Zabarnyi is also a serious target for Newcastle and has admirers at Manchester City, meaning Tottenham aren’t the only club PSG are up against in this race. There’s also a real chance Bournemouth keep the Ukrainian center-back, especially after selling Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid.
