Tottenham have opened formal negotiations with Manchester City over the transfer of Brazilian winger Savinho.
That’s according to several sources, including the Athletic, who claim that the 21-year-old is open to the move if the clubs can agree a deal, with Spurs manager Thomas Frank keen to add pace and creativity to his wide attacking options.
Savinho joined City in July 2024 for around £30.8 million after a standout loan spell at Girona, where he registered nine goals and ten assists. In his first season at the Etihad, he made 48 appearances, contributing three goals and eleven assists, earning a reputation for flair, dribbling skill and direct attacking play.
Tottenham’s pursuit of the forward follows a summer of change, with Son Heung-min leaving for LAFC and several other transfer targets slipping through their grasp. Frank is determined to strengthen the flanks before the transfer deadline.
Manchester City are reportedly open to a sale, with a fee in the region of £40–45 million expected to be required. Such a figure would represent a significant profit on their original investment.
If completed, the move would give Tottenham a young, dynamic attacker capable of stretching opposition defences, while providing City with additional funds and space in their squad ahead of the new season. Negotiations are ongoing as the clock ticks towards the close of the transfer window.
