After a day off, the Yankees head down to Philadelphia. It’s almost exactly two years since New York’s last trip to Philly, and that one was a doozy. The Yankees swept a three-game set with the Phillies which featured a blowout in Game 1 and thrillers in both Game 2 and 3. The Yankees won the second game in extra-innings in what was one of the more bizarre and exciting contests of the season, and the last game featured a grand slam from DJ LeMahieu of all people:
The series was also Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s breakout party with the Yankees, with the recently acquired infielder smashing four homers in the first two games. Let’s hope for something similar this time around!
