The NASCAR Cup Series begins its race weekend at Bristol with practice and qualifying on Saturday, April 12 ahead of Sunday’s Food City 500.
Denny Hamlin comes into the weekend with wins in the last two races this season, and he has won two of the last three Bristol races overall.
Last year, Hamlin outlasted Martin Truex Jr. to win the spring race in a battle of tire wear for all 500 laps. Hamlin and his team were later penalized for an engine seal violation.
