Amid a red-hot start to the season for No. 4 Miami, Carson Beck is receiving support as one of the nation’s best quarterbacks from Tim Tebow.

The former Heisman winner appeared on the Saturday morning edition of SportsCenter to praise the “elite” Beck and pondered if the critics of his game were “just trying to be haters” instead of appreciating what he’s doing:

“Why not call him elite? Are we just trying to be haters on it? Like, come on. This dude’s absolutely elite. Look at him in 2023. Last year, it wasn’t quite as good but now, look at the way he’s got a command of his offense. Look at his ball placement. Look at what he’s doing on third downs. Look at the lack of turnovers. He is playing at an elite level. I don’t care which area you want to talk about. If it’s the leadership, if it’s command of the offense, if it’s confidence. By the way, he’s in a new system and he looks like he’s been in it for five years. This is a young man that a lot of people wanted to criticize last year but I think we need to take a look at his body of work and say, ‘Hey, he’s playing at a very high level for a long time and this year is just no different.”
