Tiger Woods may have run out of opportunities to represent his Jupiter Links team in a TGL match this season.

Woods is not playing in Jupiter’s March 17 semifinal match against Boston Common but his co-founder in the indoor, high-tech league, Rory McIlroy, will play.

McIlroy had not decided if he was playing after his T46 finish at The Players Championship. He withdrew from Arnold Palmer Invitational the previous week after injuring back while weight training and decided to play The Players the morning of his opening round. He finished the tournament at even par.

Jupiter will send out Max Homa, Akshay Bhatia and Tom Kim against McIlroy, Keegan Bradley and Adam Scott for the 9 p.m. match at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens. Bradley is the only player to tee it up in every match this regular season.

The semifinals will be without two other marquee names for the 6:30 p.m. match pairing defending champion Atlanta Drive and Los Angeles Golf Club.

Atlanta is missing Justin Thomas, who has played two PGA Tour events since his back surgery in November. Thomas had a good week at The Players, finishing at 8-under and tied for eighth. He started with a pair of 68s before carding two 72s on the weekend.

Los Angeles will not have world No. 6 Collin Morikawa, who withdraw from The Players with a back injury.

Atlanta’s lineup will have Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel and Chris Gotterup against LA’s Justin Rose, Sahith Theegala and Tommy Fleetwood.

Both matches will be televised by ESPN.

Woods, the 15-time major champion from Jupiter Island, was hoping to join his team for at least one match at the end of the season.

Now that only can happen if Jupiter advances to the best-of-3 finals that start March 23.

Woods, who turned 50 in December, had disc replacement surgery Oct. 10. He has attended every Jupiter match this season. He last played in the 2024 PNC Championship in Orlando with son, Charlie. Tiger’s last PGA Tour event was the 2024 British Open.

Jupiter clinched the final spot when it erased a 6-3 deficit in its final match against the Bay Golf Club, scoring six points in the final three holes, including a Kim’s hole-in-one at No. 14 to take the lead.

Boston went from worst to first in Year 2 of TGL, finishing with a 4-1 record and claiming the No. 1 seed after going winless it the first year.

Atlanta is No 3 seed the same spot it was a year ago when it swept through the players with three wins, including a 2-0 sweep of New York in the final.

Both Jupiter and Boston are in the postseason for the first time, while The Bay Golf Club and New York Golf Club will miss out on the playoffs in 2026.
