Kevin Kisner was named the lead analyst for NBC Sports coverage of the PGA Tour in early December 2024 but he’s keeping his playing privileges and competing when he can.
This week, he was in the field for the 2025 Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches with the understanding that if he made the cut, he’d keep going and skip the TV job.
Well, the four-time Tour winner missed the cut Friday after rounds of 72-69 left him just 1 under, four shots off the cutline. It’s his third missed cut in three outings in 2025, so expect to see Kisner alongside Dan Hicks in the booth at PGA National this weekend, the second of seven weeks of NBC as lead dog covering the PGA Tour.
Kisner wasn’t the only one who had his week cut short after the cut came in at 5 under. There were 20 golfers who made the cut on the number. There were 67 to make the cut in all. There were 26 who missed the cut by one stroke.
