The Titans looked really good last week. I am referring to their Houston Oilers quasi-throwback jerseys. Those are great. Their football was disgusting.
The Titans offense: definitely offensive
If you thought the Eagles offense was a chore to watch last week, and it was, then avert your eyes for the Titans.

They did have the 9th best yards per rushing attempt but…
At least people didn’t have to watch a lot of it, they had the third fewest offensive plays run.
They lost by 13 to the Jets. The Jets now already have a greater margin of victory in wins then they did all of last year combined, when they won three games by a total of 11 points. The Jets haven’t won by 13 or more points since Week 3 of 2024 when they beat the 3-14 Patriots 24-3.
The Titans were basically the Jim Mora diddly poo rant:
“Well, what happened was, that second game we got our ass kicked… or the second half, we just got our ass totally kicked. We couldn’t do diddly poo offensively. We couldn’t make a first down. We couldn’t run the ball, we didn’t try to run the ball, we couldn’t complete a pass. We sucked. The second half, we sucked. We couldn’t stop the run. Every time they got the ball, they went down and got points. We got our ass totally kicked in the second half. That’s what it boiled down to. It was a horseshit performance in the second half. Horseshit. I’m totally embarrassed and totally ashamed. Coaching we all… coaching did a horrible job. The players did a horrible job. We got our ass kicked in that second half. It sucked. It stunk.”
QBs vs QBs
Jeffrey Simmons got some flak for saying that the Titans defense needs to make Jalen Hurts play QB. He is correct. The Eagles offense struggles when Hurts doesn’t break defenses with his legs. The Titans best chance to win is by keeping Hurts behind the line of scrimmage. We already know this. With Jeffery Simmons and rookie LB Anthony Hill, who had bit of a breakout against the Jets, they have a puncher’s chance.

But for the Eagles, their key to winning is also to make their opponent’s QB play QB because Cam Ward has simply been awful at it so far.

College Football Watch List
12:00 – Georgia at Arkansas
Arkansas football is in a really bad spot right now, and it’s not going to get better with the Bulldogs in town. But EDGE Quincy Rhodes, Jr., is a guy to watch. Arkansas, at least last year, lined him up all over the DL, and he produced with 8 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss. He should test well, per Bruce Feldman’s Freaks List, where he was 66th:

At 6-6, 277, he’s super strong, having bench-pressed 405 pounds, squatted 585 and power-cleaned 375. He broad-jumped 10-2, vertical-jumped 30 inches and clocked 19.97 mph on the GPS.
3:30 – SMU at Louisville
Howie Roseman loves his raw international prospects. SMU TE Theo Melin Ohrstrom (6’6″, 250) is a fifth year senior from Sweden who spent the past four seasons at Texas A&M. He has just 32 career catches, all in the last three years, so while he has more polish than the international players the Eagles have brought in, he is still far from a finished prospect. He had two easy TDs last week against UC-Davis, perhaps that gets him a little more playing time this week.

Suddenly, but not really that suddenly, guard is an issue for the Eagles. Ole Miss RG Patrick Kutas fits the Eagles profile: he’s 6’6″ and 315 pounds. He’s also played right tackle, left guard, and center. Good luck against LSU!
