When Victor Munoz joined Liverpool in the summer very few people thought his arrival would reveal a new role for Giorgi Mamardashvili .
The Georgian shot-stopper has acted as Alisson’s back up since his arrival last summer, having to step up on several occasions when the Brazilian has been injured.

Mamardashvili also received his first minutes of the season this week when he started Liverpool’s third round Carabao Cup game against Tottenham, a match in which the 25-year-old impressed.
