How can I watch the Masters on TV?
In the UK, the Masters is broadcast on Sky Sports Golf and large parts of it will also be on the network’s flagship channel, Sky Sports Main Event.
Coverage on Thursday and Friday starts at 2pm, but will only show featured groups (see above) until 6pm, which is the earliest that broadcasters are permitted to show full live coverage from every group and every hole. At the weekend, full coverage begins at 5pm.

In the United States, CBS will continue to broadcast the tournament, as it has done in an unbroken run starting in 1956.
Free-to-air coverage is on the Masters website, where viewers can watch every individual shot a few minutes after it happens.
Radio coverage of the tournament in the UK is on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra.
When and where is the Masters?
The 2026 Masters started on Thursday, April 9 and runs until Sunday, April 12 at Augusta National Golf Club, Georgia.
The Masters, unlike the other majors, has a permanent home and is always played at Augusta National, which is located in the north-east of Georgia, near the border with South Carolina.

The club is known for its exclusivity. The course is not open to the general public and to play it one has to be invited by a member, of which there are about 300, including Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.
This year the 72-par course has been extended by 10 yards after modifications to the tee box on the 17th hole, Nandina.
What is the Masters prize money?
This year’s total purse has yet to be confirmed but last year’s was $21m. The winner received $4.2m, the runner-up $2.2m, third place $1.4m, with incrementally less prize money until the man in 50th, who took home $53,000.
The winner is also awarded a replica of the official trophy (which never leaves the club). The champion golfer also receives a gold medal and, most coveted of all, a Green Jacket.

There are also trophies for finishing second, being the leading amateur golfer, recording the lowest score of the day, making a hole in one, an eagle and an albatross.
