Tamworth 3 – 2 Worthing FT

Tamworth left it late to claim a home victory over Worthing in a dramatic clash that saw the away team reduced to nine men.

Jack Wadham broke the deadlock for the visitors, finding the bottom corner from 30 yards out and leaving the Tamworth keeper with little chance.

After the break Tamworth then hit back courtesy of Dan Creaney, who ensured his side remained in the hunt with an effort in the 54th minute.

Jose Marquez replied for Worthing in the 72nd minute, his first goal for the side, but they were depleted shortly afterwards as Wadham received a second yellow and was dismissed.

There was a late flurry of action in the final minutes as Worthing’s Dominic Hutchinson was shown a red card for a handball, with Nathan Tshikuna scoring the resulting penalty for Tamworth before Morgan Roberts produced the winning goal in the eighth added minute.
