As banners for Premier Sponsors First National Bank, Stalls Medical and Utility Network Solutions flew under sunny skies at the entrance to Sanford Golf Course, 92 golfers hit the links for an afternoon of fellowship, fun and fundraising for t.l.c. home. Also featured was lunch provided by Jersey Mike’s as well as tee sponsors and those sponsors providing drinks, golf balls and goody bags.
The team from Farm Bureau with Craig Jacobs, Keith Thomas, Carson Lanier and Mark Midford took first place honors, with Jim Doyle, Carter Gray, Jimmy Vause and Adam Lindley taking second.
Dedicated in 1987, t.l.c. home is a specialized community residential facility for individuals with intellectual development disabilities. Primarily funded by Medicaid, which covers basic needs and programs and is strictly regulated, additional funds provided by donations and fundraising allow the purchase of supplementary equipment and amenities.
The current focus on proceeds from the tournament is an inclusive park designed to fit the needs and abilities of our residents while providing outdoor stimulation and enjoyment.
