Spearman girls golfers Jaslene Baca, Morgan Earle, Tessa Holton, Izzabella Slover and Acey Womble have been voted the Happy State Bank High School Athlete of the Week for April 28-May 3.
Baca, Earle, Holton, Slover and Womble led the Spearman girls golf team to a second place finish in Class 2A at the UIL State Golf Tournament.
The group received 3,658 of the 6,568 votes cast, which was 55.69% of total votes.
Students in all varsity sports are eligible and can only be named Athlete of the Week one time per season, per sport, and athletes from one school cannot win more than three consecutive weeks.
Nominations are due by 5 p.m. each Saturday and can be submitted through email at [email protected].
Please include statistics from the week’s games and any pertinent information or honors. Voting runs through Thursday each week.
