In the interview, the Argentine’s agent discussed his client’s openness to representing Italy as Argentina continue to refuse to call him up with Scaloni’s squad.
“We know Argentina has many players in that position, but with this consistency of performance, Matias deserves a call-up. His dream is to play in the World Cup.”
“He’s Italian-Argentine, and I don’t know what could happen if the situation with Argentina doesn’t resolve itself. Everything is in place right now, and I can tell you that he legally has the right to be called up to the Italian national team.”
