Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons did not bite his tongue following his team’s 13-10 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

“Sometimes, just like today, you s*** the bed,” Parsons told reporters in front of his locker after the game. “That’s just the reality of it. It happens to the best teams. Even the best Super Bowl champs make mistakes, and they pay for it early.

“You go back to the history of the champions and who’ve they’ve played and games they should’ve won. It’s just part of the [NFL]. It’s just that competitive. It’s that hard to win. It’s hard as hell to win football games. So, when you win football games, it’s a celebration. But when you lose, it sucks.”

Parsons’ presence was almost non-existent on Sunday as the Browns’ offensive line kept him at bay. He ended the game with two tackles, two QB hits and zero sacks. Green Bay’s defense gave up just 13 points but got very little help from an offense that managed only 10. The Packers really did themselves in with a total of 14 penalties in this game.

Now at 2-1, the Packers turn their attention to the Dallas Cowboys for a Week 4 matchup in primetime on Sunday Night Football before the bye in Week 5. Parsons will return to Dallas for the first time since the Cowboys traded him last month.

So far, the trade has paid off for the Packers overall with Parsons helping the team win its first two games of the season while recording 5 tackles, 6 QB hits, 1.5 sacks, and 1 tackle for loss this season. Upon acquiring Parsons, Green Bay signed him to a four-year extension worth $188 million. Parsons entered the 2025 season on the fifth and final year of his rookie deal with the Cowboys. Once negotiations for an extension deteriorated, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones decided to move his former All-Pro.

While in Dallas, Parsons was a four-time Pro Bowl selection, two-time All-Pro and Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2021. Last season, he became only the second player in league history to record at least 12 sacks in his first four years, joining Packers legend and Hall of Fame defensive end, Reggie White.
