NORTH HAMPTON – Portsmouth High School junior Grey Gagnon continued his mastery on the golf course this fall on Thursday, Oct. 2 at the fourth annual Seacoast Cup Championship at Sagamore-Hampton Golf Club.
Gagnon had four birdies, four pars and one bogey en route to a 3-under-par 32 to help the Clippers to their second title since the tournament started in 2022.
“His game is so solid tee to green,” Portsmouth head coach Kyle Harrison said. “He has become an elite ball striker who makes the putts he should and rarely makes a mistake, keeping him in every hole.”
Portsmouth won the title with a team score of 182, while St. Thomas Aquinas (194), Winnacunnet (205) and Oyster River (210) placed second through fourth, respectively.
“(Gagnon) is such a consistent player, he’s been under-par all year,” Winnacunnet coach Pat Snow said. “Very impressive performance. Tee to green, he’s definitely gained some distance this year. Very good player.”
