After the third round of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, Si Woo Kim holds a two-shot lead at 21-under par heading into Sunday’s final round.
Trailing Kim in a tie for second are Wyndham Clark and defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who is looking to go back-to-back at the event.

Scheffler fired a 6-under round on Saturday to put himself in position for a likely spot in the final pairing and now sits on the verge of a rare piece of golf history.
According to the PGA Tour, Scheffler could become the first player since Tiger Woods in 2007 to successfully defend a tournament title after winning the event by eight strokes the previous year. Woods accomplished the feat at the WGC-Workday Championship at The Concession.

Scheffler’s eight-stroke victory at last year’s Byron Nelson marked the second-largest margin in tournament history, trailing only Sam Snead’s 10-shot win in 1957.

A win on Sunday would also mark the fourth successful title defense of Scheffler’s career, as he has previously repeated at The Players Championship, the WM Phoenix Open, and the Memorial Tournament.

Three golfers are tied for fourth at 17-under par, but Si Woo Kim has continued to set the pace.
His remarkable 11-under round on Friday put him in a strong position heading into Sunday, even after shooting 3-under on Saturday on a course that has played very favorably for the field throughout the weekend.
