The 101st Tennessean/Metro Parks Schooldays Golf Tournament will be played June 3-5.
The tournament, which became part of PGA golfer Brandt Snedeker’s Sneds Tour in 2024, is among the longest-running tournaments in the state. Snedeker played in the tournament as a youth. It will be played at McCabe Golf Course. The tournament was first played at Shelby Park in 1925 and moved to McCabe in 1955.

HOW BRANDT SNEDEKER HELPED SCHOOLDAYS: What to know about Schooldays Golf Tournament joining Brandt Snedeker’s Tour
Poppy Pewitt, 16, from Dickson County, began the best season of her young career by winning the Schooldays girls championship in 2025.
Three weeks later, Pewitt won the Tennessee Golf Association’s Tennessee Girls’ Junior Championship in a three-hole playoff, and in October won the TSSAA Class AA state championship while also helping Dickson County reach the state tournament for the first time since 1985.

On Dec. 30, Pewitt was named the Tennessee Junior Player of the Year by the TGA and has been nominated for The Tennessean’s Athlete of the Year for its 2025-26 High School Sports Awards.
Pewitt, the Schooldays runner-up in 2024, defeated 12-year-old Henry County sensation AddieMae Glover 4 and 3 in the 2025 match play final round.
A new boys champion will be crowned since the 2025 champ, Carter Stroup, is too old to participate. Stroup, now a freshman on the Cumberland golf team, also won the Schooldays in 2021. Stoup defeated Greyson Koch of White House 4 and 3 in the final. Koch is expected to return for the 2026 tournament along with Gallatin’s Austin Schreiner, who played in the 2025 semifinals.
The tournament begins with stroke play to qualify; the low 16 boys and eight girls advance to match play.
