Ryan Blaney ran into some problems early in the NASCAR Cup Series Talladega race and suffered his fourth DNF of the early 2025 season.
Blaney dove down to make a pit stop on lap 43 of the April 27 Jack Link’s 500 at Talldega Superspeedway and was hit by Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski, who were spinning toward the entrance of pit road.
Blaney’s No. 12 Team Penske Ford slid through the tri-oval at Talladega and came to a stop in the infield grass. Keselowski also came to a stop in the infield grass and is also done for the day.
Blaney’s car was taken to the garage area with a broken tow link and issues with the brakes. He initially sat in the car to wait and see if he could get back on the track as his team attempted to make repairs, but he climbed out and is done for the day.
“Another DNJ is no fun,” Blaney said on the FOX broadcast. “Oh man, we’ve just been riddled with those this year. Hopefully we can get it sorted out.”
