Combat sports takes center stage Saturday as MMA legends Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano collide in the main event of the Jake Paul-backed MVP promotions’ first MMA fight card, streaming live on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

The event marks Rousey’s first MMA appearance since 2016 and Carano’s first since 2009, adding major uncertainty and intrigue to the betting markets. Rousey is currently listed as a -625 favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook, while Carano is a +455 underdog, reflecting both Rousey’s championship pedigree and concerns surrounding Carano’s extended absence from competition.

Beyond the main event, the fight card features a stacked lineup including Nate Diaz vs. Mike Perry and Francis Ngannou vs. Philipe Lins, giving bettors plenty of opportunities to take advantage of moneylines, method-of-victory props and parlays on one of the most unique MMA cards of the year.

The Sporting News has everything you need to know to bet on the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano fight card, including odds from the biggest sportsbooks to help you make the best value bets possible.

Best value bet: Rousey vs. Carano over 1.5 rounds (+165 at BetMGM)

Gina Carano steps into the octagon for the first time since 2009. For Rousey, its her first MMA fight since 2016. Almost over a decade away from the sport for both fighters means there is certainly going to be considerable “ring rust” for both fighters in a fight that should be more entertaining than competitive by nature. Rousey by submission is by far the most popular bet at multiple sportsbooks right now and I still believe that is the most likely outcome against the 44-year old Carano who is more known for starring in Star Wars the Mandalorian than throwing any punches nowadays. However, it might take a bit for Rousey to get her ring legs under her and throw on the legendary classic arm bar for the victory. Taking this fight to end in Round 2 gives you good value at plus odds while still enjoying the victory and return of one of the best ground specialists in the history of MMA.

U 4.5 (-115)

U 4.5 (-235)

Best value bet: Diaz vs. Perry over 4.5 rounds (+180 at bet365)

The Nate Diaz and Mike Perry co-main event should be a stand up war that will excite fans and bettors alike. Both fighters have been in their fair share of wars over the course of their careers and now have the opportunity to entertain the masses in a primetime fight on Netflix. Each of Perry’s last four fights in the UFC went to decision (two wins and two losses) as a sign that the knockout power that “Platinum” once had seemed to be fading away near the peak of his career. Meanwhile, outside of a doctor stoppage loss to Jorge Masvidal in the inaugural “BMF” title fight back in 2019, each of Diaz’s last four UFC fights have gone over 4.5 rounds, including his last victory, a submission win over Tony Ferguson to end his last stint with the UFC. This bet shouldn’t be at plus odds, which gives bet365 the advantage over all the other books in the total rounds market.

U 1.5 (-240)
O 1.5 (+195)
U 1.5 (-260)

Best value bet: Ngannou-Lins over 1.5 rounds (+200 at BetMGM)

Francis Ngannou is known for finishing fights early. From his reign as the former UFC heavyweight champion and with the world-renowned knockout power he holds in his hands, its easy to see why he enters this fight as such a big favorite over Philipe Lins. Lins is by no means a slouch. He ended his stint in the UFC with four straight wins from 2022 to 2024, however those wins were at light heavyweight, so it’s doubtful that he’s ever faced anyone that has the size and power that Ngannou possesses. Ngannou should knock out Lins easily, but here we are betting on a bit of “ring rust” that will hinder him from getting it done in the first round. BetMGM has the best odds here if you want to take the over on the round total. Its a bet that might not be the most popular, but it’s certainly possible if you believe that Lins can outlast the onslaught from Ngannou, at least for the first five minutes of the fight.

Main card: Salahdine Parnasse vs. Kenneth Cross

Fighter DraftKings FanDuel Bet MGM Caesars bet365
Salahdine Parnasse -1350 ML -1450 ML -1100 ML -1400 ML -1600 ML

U 1.5 (-198)
N/A O 1.5 (+110)
U 1.5 (-141)
O 1.5 (+122)
U 1.5 (-155)

Best value bet: Parnasse-Cross over 1.5 rounds (+160 at FanDuel)

This fight should be a fun lightweight scrap with two fighters who are more than game to stand and trade with one another. Cross is such a huge underdog here despite his 17-4 record and four-fight win streak heading into this contest. But it’s hard to bet against Parnasse, who is one of the best fighters Europe has to offer, and he hasn’t lost a fight since 2024. The best bet to make here is to take the over 1.5 rounds at FanDuel, which has the best value at +160. You can also bet on the fight to go the distance, but the reasoning behind this is that at lightweight you rarely see the same amount of power exhibited as in the other heavier divisions. So, if you like Parnasse to win but don’t want be on the heavily juiced moneyline, going with over 1.5 rounds is the right move.

Main card: Junior Dos Santos vs. Robelis Despaigne

O 1.5 (+190)
U 1.5 (-250)
O 1.5 (+195)
U 1.5 (-260)

Best value bet: dos Santos-Despaigne under 1.5 rounds (-238 at DraftKings)

This fight is a hard one to bet with the markets available. While Junior dos Santos is a legend in the sport, he’s entering the octagon again at 42 years old, After a decorated career that includes his reign as a former UFC heavyweight champion, his glory days are in the past, and that is clearly evident by his most recent fight history in Jorge Masvidal’s Bareknuckle MMA organization. Meanwhile, Despaigne has been on a tear since his release from the UFC, going a perfect 7-0 in Karate Combat and beating former UFC pros as well. Expect this one to end quickly. I can’t sincerely recommend betting Despaigne straight up at -300 odds. Take the under 1.5 rounds instead at DraftKings at -238. Its still juiced but its better pricing for a fight that Despaigne should have no problem winning. Or you can pair it with another bet in a parlay to get better odds.
