NASCAR podcast: Chase Briscoe starts playoffs with Darlington win

Two drivers are now locked into the second round of the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
Denny Hamlin won the Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway on Sunday, Sept. 7, punching his automatic ticket to the Round of 12. His Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Chase Briscoe, opened the postseason with a win last week.
The victory also broke Hamlin’s tie with Shane van Gisbergen for the most wins in the Cup Series this season. Hamlin now owns five.
He led 75 laps Sunday and built a 1.6-second margin between himself and the runner-up, Briscoe. Chase Elliott finished third.
