Back to business as usual in NASCAR.

For the first time since June, Shane van Gisbergen, former Supercars star and current Cup Series rookie, did not win the Sunday race. That honor belonged to Denny Hamlin.

Hamlin celebrated NASCAR’s return to oval tracks after two straight road races — and three in five weeks — by triumphing in overtime during the AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Dover Motor Speedway. He held off Chase Briscoe on old tires, leading a total of 67 laps.

Briscoe and Alex Bowman rounded out the top three. Here’s a look at the full finishing order.
