The Giants released Braxton Berrios on Sunday, but there was word that the team planned to have the veteran wide receiver and kick returner back in the fold ahead of Week 1.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the avenue for Berrios’s return will be via the practice squad. As Berrios is a vested veteran and did not have to go through waivers, a signing can take place right away.
