Liverpool have reportedly identified left-back as a transfer priority ahead of the summer window opening. Andy Robertson has been an unbelievable servant for the Reds since 2017, winning all the major prizes, but looks far from his best currently.
At 31 and with a contract which expires in summer 2026, we could be living the final year or so of the Scotsman’s Liverpool career.

Deputy Kostas Tsimikas meanwhile has rarely convinced that he is the right man to replace Robertson. Leeds have been linked most recently with the Greek, 29, who looks set to move on if the Reds are successful in landing a new left-back.

Premier League regulars like Rayan Ait-Nouri and Antonee Robinson have been frequently named as potential arrivals but there is one name sticking out above all others.
Milos Kerkez would appear to be the chosen one. The Bournemouth left-back was actually signed by current Reds’ sporting director Richard Hughes when he was technical director at the Vitality Stadium.
Milos Kerkez wanted at left-back
The 21-year-old has established himself as one of the best left-backs in the division over the past couple of seasons, hitting two goals and five assists for Andoni Iraola’s side this season.
Bournemouth are reportedly willing to consider a deal at around €50m (£42m), which could prove to be a bargain if the Hungarian international manages to keep his consistency in the decade ahead.
Having long been identified as a potential Liverpool signing, it appears that the trail between Kerkez and the Reds has gone cold. Other signings – such as Jeremie Frimpong – have taken precedence in recent days.

Liverpool and Bournemouth disagree over fee
According to a new report in TEAMtalk, it’s claimed that there are still some details to be fixed between Liverpool and Bournemouth – but it confirms that talks have been ongoing over the terms of a deal.
“There’s a general agreement on the valuation, the two sides are still ironing out how that figure is structured,” the report reads.
“Liverpool are hoping to include bonuses as part of the €50m total package, while Bournemouth are pushing for the full amount to be guaranteed upfront.”
It remains to be seen how this one concludes.

Bournemouth sold Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid for a similar sum last week and will be determined to stick to their guns over Kerkez. If Liverpool are not successful in these negotiations, then Hughes could opt to make a move for the Ajax left-sider Jorrel Hato.
