Everything suggests Dani Ceballos is set to leave Real Madrid this summer, having found himself in a precarious position as far as Xabi Alonso’s setup is concerned.
The former Real Betis midfielder may not receive much prominence in Alonso’s system, which has led to widespread speculation over his future.
A recent report from AS has offered an update on Dani Ceballos’ transfer saga, revealing the disagreements between Real Madrid and Real Betis over the player’s valuation.
As per the report, Real Madrid have yet to receive an official bid from Real Betis for Ceballos.
It appears Los Beticos are interested in signing the midfielder only on a loan deal. Even if they do pursue a permanent deal, their valuation of the player is relatively low.

Betis, in fact, value Ceballos at around €5-10 million, which is too low for Real Madrid even though the player is not part of the club’s plans for next season.
The Spanish giants value Ceballos at around €20 million, which is quite fair considering the fact that he can be a differential player on this day.
Real Madrid, therefore, are not too keen on sanctioning Ceballos’ sale unless the midfielder can attract a good offer in the market.
The club are also not interested in loaning out the Spaniard, knowing it might not augur well for the club financially.
The report further adds that Ceballos’ relatively high salary package – about €9 million per year – is proving to be problem for Real Betis and other potential suitors, which could hamper his chances of securing a departure.
