Aurelien Tchouameni is one of the Real Madrid players who are currently on international duty with France.
After a bit of a rough patch, Mbappe appears to be back on track and is performing well for France.
Tchouameni did not shy away from heaping praise on his Real Madrid teammate, stating (h/t AS), “He’s a top-class player When he plays at current level, know he gives us greater chances of winning.”
Tchouameni also talked about new Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso, praising the Spanish tactician for bringing new ideas to the table.
“There were periods last season when I played as a defender. That allowed me to gain experience and see things differently. The coach, Alonso, has new ideas. He has contributed a lot to developing my performance,” he added.

Despite his age, Tchouameni is currently one of the most experienced Real Madrid players, having already featured in 149 matches for Los Blancos.
The Frenchman has been an ever-present figure in Alonso’s midfield, racking up almost 550 minutes in the FIFA Club World Cup while playing each and every minute of Real Madrid’s first three games of the season.
Talking about his growing importance in the team, the Frenchman did not forget to credit his former midfield partners, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
“I enjoy a high quality because of them. And sometimes I pass better, as happened against Ukraine. It depends on many factors. I’ve learned a lot from Kroos and Modric,” he remarked.
“The season is going well. I’ve been performing well for my club for quite some time now. The most important thing now is to focus on the next game,” Tchouameni insisted.
While Tchouameni has a long way to go before he can impose the same level of supremacy as Modric or Kroos, the Frenchman has certainly had a promising start to life under Alonso, and it will be interesting to see how things go from here.
