A Miami Open quarter-final between Novak Djokovic and Sebastian Korda has been postponed.

Initially scheduled as the fifth and final match on the main court for Wednesday, the clash was forced to be rescheduled due to its late start time.

As per ATP rules, no matches are to go on the court after 11:00 p.m. unless approved by a supervisor in consultation with management.

Both prior men’s matches went to three sets, as well as a women’s quarter-final, which caused a timetable blowout.

Fans and journalists on social media reacted negatively to the tournament’s scheduling.

Despite being forced to postpone the biggest match of the day on Wednesday, Miami Open organisers have repeated the same schedule and timings for Thursday.

Djokovic and Korda’s rescheduled match will be the third match on the main ‘stadium’ court, which will take place sometime after 4:00 p.m. ET.

Ticket holders for Wednesday’s evening session – which included the postponed Djokovic-Korda match – will be able to purchase a ticket for Thursday’s afternoon session for US$10.
