Pumas continues its planning to strengthen the squad, and one of its priorities is to add a new attacker.

The name that has gained traction is that of the Colombian Raúl “Pantera” Zúñiga, currently with Xolos de Tijuana.

The university management, after finalizing several departures, has initiated talks to understand the conditions of Zúñiga’s signing, according to 365Scores.

His profile has gained relevance after negotiations with Diber Cambindo did not succeed due to his high cost.

The interest is such that they are even considering including Rogelio Funes Mori in the deal, although there has been no response from Xolos so far.

One factor being cautiously analyzed by Pumas is the player’s age, as Zúñiga is 30 years old and close to turning 31.

Despite that, his performance in the Clausura 2025 was outstanding, scoring 12 goals in 15 matches and emerging as one of the top scorers of the tournament.
