Real Madrid let go of one of their most talented young academy prospects back in 2020 when they sold Achraf Hakimi to Inter Milan.
The Moroccan right-back had spent two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund and excelled, but Los Blancos opted to move him on instead of keeping him at the club.

A year into his stint at Inter, PSG spent heavily to sign him in the summer of 2021. Since then, the 27-year-old has grown into one of the best right-backs in the world, tasting great success in the French capital.
Hakimi wants Real Madrid return
Now, however, according to journalist Ramon Alvarez, Hakimi wants to return to Real Madrid and is willing to make moves in order to make it happen.
Any move, however, is seen as very complicated considering that the Moroccan international is tied down to a long-term contract at PSG until the summer of 2029.

Relations between Real Madrid and PSG have slightly improved in recent times after past tensions. Even then, an operation for Hakimi is likely to be a challenging one.
Real Madrid may need a new right-back soon
Real Madrid could be in need of a new right-back soon with Dani Carvajal’s contract coming to an end this summer and no renewal being offered so far.
Trent Alexander-Arnold arrived last year and has established himself as the first choice in recent months despite a slow start. But Los Blancos will need to bring in a replacement if Carvajal ends up bidding goodbye.
Hakimi, in that regard, could become an option, but as mentioned previously, any operation will be complicated despite the player’s desire to return to the Santiago Bernabeu.
So, for now, there is nothing beyond the Moroccan international’s intention and only time will tell if it leads to something substantial in the months to come.
