President Trump spent his Labor Day Weekend playing golf with a Super Bowl-winning head coach.

The President of the United States has been the subject of some unfounded health rumors as of late. However, President Trump, 79, is clearly still feeling good enough to hit the links. President Trump, who owns three prominent golf courses in the United States – one in New Jersey, one in Virginia, one in Florida – typically spends his weekends playing at one of his courses.

President Trump spent his Labor Day Weekend playing a round of golf with a legendary former NFL head coach.

President Trump took to Truth Social, his social media platform, to boast about playing a round of golf with former NFL head coach Jon Gruden.

Gruden, who lives in Florida, last coached in the NFL in 2021.

“Great playing Golf with Jon Gruden — A really nice guy, and true character!” President Trump wrote on Truth Social, sharing a photo of the former NFL head coach, who was wearing a Trump hat.

Gruden wants back into coaching

Gruden, 62, has been out of coaching since 2021. He was ousted as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021, when scandalous emails leaked. Gruden made disparaging remarks about NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and others.

But the Super Bowl-winning head coach, known as Chucky, wants back into coaching. Gruden has been working for Barstool Sports, covering football, though he’s expressed an interest in getting back into the game.

Gruden, who visited multiple college football programs this summer, has said that he would “love” to coach in the SEC. Alabama, which lost to Florida State in Week 1, has already been named a possible landing spot for Gruden.

“Jon Gruden will be coaching in 2026 and I’d be stunned if it’s not in the SEC,” John Middlekauff of The Volume predicted.
