The Pop-Tarts Bowl will be returning in 2024 and is set to feature a celebration similar to the viral aftermath of the 2023 game.
Three new edible Pop-Tarts mascots were introduced on Monday, with the MVP of 2024’s contest deciding which flavor their teammates will eat.

Last year’s matchup featured Kansas State and NC State, resulting in a 28-19 victory for the Wildcats. A Pop-Tarts Strawberry mascot drew attention on social media throughout the game before it was lowered into a large toaster and emerged as an edible snack for the winners.

“The first Pop-Tarts bowl became one of the year’s biggest memes, and since then, our edible mascot has popped up on red carpets, TV commercials, sold-out Halloween costumes and it continues to get brought up during big cultural moments,” Pop-Tarts director of marketing Heidi Ray said in a release, via David Ubben of The Athletic. “And fans are hungry for more.”
This year’s clash will feature the top selection from the ACC (inclusive of Notre Dame) outside of the College Football Playoff against the second selection from the Big 12 outside of the CFP.
The 2024 Pop-Tarts Bowl will be on Dec. 28 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
