Round 1 of the 126th U.S. Open has been suspended as dense fog blanketed the back nine.
Players were held in place for fifteen minutes but have since been brought into the clubhouse, through practice facilities remain open.

Only 14 golfers able to tee off their first round, with eight currently tied at the top of the leaderboard at even par. With high winds and a chance of rain already expected, this adds another layer to an already challenging start.
