Coach Cody Trabert’s Pitt-Johnstown men’s golf team, ranked fifth in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region and 77th nationally, will travel to Lebanon for this weekend’s 2024 PSAC Men’s Golf Championship at Iron Valley Golf Club.

The three-day tournament will kick off at 10 a.m. Friday and wrap up Sunday afternoon. The Mountain Cat are scheduled to begin their first round at 10:50 a.m. Friday. The nine competing teams will bring six golfers to the tournament. Five golfers will compete daily and the top four individual scores for each team will be used in the team scoring.

Lucas Smith, Justin Scally, Eli Ropietski, Jake Morgan and Mauricio Hernandez are slated to represent Pitt-Johnstown, with Mario Battaglia serving as a substitute.

Along with Pitt-Johnstown, Bloomsburg, California (Pa.), Clarion, Gannon, Indiana (Pa.), Millersville, Shepherd and West Chester will represent the nine PSAC teams.

In 2023, Millersville claimed its first PSAC championship since 2013 by 14 strokes over second-place Indiana. The Mountain Cats finished sixth behind Hernandez, who was tied for 14th place at plus-18.
